The Association of Practical Theology promotes “critical discourse that integrates theological reflection and practice.” Through participation on the annual American Academy of Religion meetings and in larger conversations which colleagues in the fields of religion and society, APT promotes deeper exploration of the themes within practical theology. The site lists fellowship, calls for papers, and other resources for professionals interested in broadening their study of practical theology.

Monastery of St. Gertrude and their retreat center, The Spirit Center, offers retreats and experiences of prayer, monasticism, art, and community. This monastery has been important to me in my spiritual and religious journey, and there are many other monasteries and retreat centers that offer a ministry of quiet, prayer, and reflection.
