I ground my work in a commitment to helping individuals and communities navigate change, build meaningful relationships, and move toward greater equity, purpose, and fulfillment.
My professional work includes higher education, nonprofits, religious communities, and research organizations doing fundraising, editing and translation, teaching, writing, and facilitation. I have experiences in both the U.S. and Europe in leadership, coaching, cross-cultural work, scholarship, and deep listening. From these experiences,
I hold an M.A., M.Div., and Ph.D. in Religion, with research focused on creativity, spirituality, migration, ethnography, community building, and practices of deep listening. I am a certified professional coach and a mindfulness mentor. I draw on practices of presence, curiosity, and careful listening to help people access their own resourcefulness, shift patterns, reach their goals, and discover new possibilities.
I was born in Germany to American parents and have lived extensively in both countries, I bring a particular awareness of cross-cultural dynamics and the ways our identities, assumptions, and experiences shape how we relate to one another and to the world.
I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live with my husband and 5-year-old son who currently attends a German immersion school and loves to play soccer and chess in his free time.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the transformative power of listening—listening to ourselves, to one another, and across differences. I am continually exploring how deep listening, personal inquiry, and authentic connection can help create more equitable, creative, and fulfilling ways to live and work together.
